Local Pest Trend: Rodent Calls Rise Around Shreveport
From October 12–25, Anti-Pest received nearly 40% more rodent-related calls than during the previous two weeks, with Shreveport accounting for most of the activity.
House mice led the inquiries, although residents also reported concerns involving Norway rats and roof rats. We've heard from homeowners in Benton and other nearby communities, too.
What Local Homeowners Reported About Mice
In Shreveport, one homeowner reported a mouse problem under the kitchen sink, while another contacted us about mice in the garage. In North Bossier City, a resident reported mouse droppings in a bedroom. And in Stonewall, a homeowner described scratching noises inside the walls, which they suspected were from mice.
These reports offer a glimpse of the problems local homeowners are experiencing this fall. While the increase in calls doesn't necessarily mean rodent populations are rising across Northwest Louisiana, it does show that more homeowners are turning to Anti-Pest for help.
